Homicide is the killing of a person or human being. Murder is the most significant crime anyone can be accused of and it is the unlawful killing of another with malice aforethought. Homicide may be as a result of Murder which is an intentional act accompanied by malice, or be as a result of voluntary manslaughter, which is in the heat of passion, or it could be as a result of involuntary manslaughter, which is the unlawful killing of another without malice, but with criminal negligence. Reckless homicide is the killing of another through the use of a motor vehicle while driving with a reckless disregard for the safety of others.

Homicide may be an accident. If the killing is an accident then no crime has been committed.
